Detailed Itinerary Overview
Day 1: You will be picked up from your hotel in Cairo at 8:00 AM and then driven to the Pyramids of Giza. Spend the entire day exploring Egypt’s greatest pyramids, where your expert Egyptologist will share many fascinating details about their history.
Day 1 (Continued): Enjoy lunch at a fine restaurant before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Begin your day with a morning pickup by your Egyptologist and spend the entire day at the new Egyptian Museum.
Day 3: Visit Saqqara and spend the day exploring the site, including the world’s oldest pyramid, other pyramids, and impressive tombs.
Day 4: Drive from Cairo to Alexandria (approximately 3 hours). In Alexandria, visit the Catacombs, Pompey’s Pillar, and Qaitbay Citadel; after lunch, return to Cairo.
Day 5: Explore Cairo’s old bazaar and visit the oldest Coptic church, the oldest mosque, and the oldest synagogue in the city.
Day 6: Travel approximately 4 hours to the city of Minya. Visit the beautiful tombs at Beni Hassan, then spend the night in a hotel in Minya.
Day 7: Visit the ancient city of Akhenaten and Nefertiti at Tal el-Amarna, then explore the tombs of Tuna El-Gabal. Overnight in Minya.
Day 8: Continue to the Abydos Temple (approximately a 4-hour drive). Witness the golden era of ancient Egyptian art and spend the night in a hotel adjacent to the temple.
Day 9: Drive 2 hours further to the Dandara Temple, where you will admire exquisite astronomical reliefs and one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Then, continue for another 2 hours to Luxor and check into your hotel.
Day 10: In Luxor, visit the largest temple in Egypt, Karnak Temple, and later, in the evening, explore Luxor Temple. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 11: Get picked up for a tour that includes visits to the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut, followed by a private Nile cruise. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 12: Visit Luxor’s most beautiful temple, the Habu Temple, then head to Deer El Madina. Return to your hotel for the night.
Day 13: Early in the morning, drive approximately 4 hours to Aswan. In Aswan, visit the Philae Temple and the Unfinished Obelisk. Later, you will be picked up from your hotel in Aswan.
Day 14: Depart early the next morning for Abu Simbel Temple (approximately a 3-hour drive) to witness the marvel of Pharaoh Ramses II through his two magnificent temples.
Optional: If you wish to continue to Hurghada for a beach vacation, or prefer to fly back to Cairo, we can arrange that for you.
Remarks: All our round trips are all-inclusive—covering all meals and drinks provided in the vehicle. Portions of the trip can be customized to your preferences. The full round trip lasts 15 days.
