📅 Itinerary
Day 1:
- Abu Jifa Tunnel
- Wadi Atbouk
- Ain Shakia
- Wadi Al-Zawteen: Starting from St. Catherine City, proceed to the first overnight camp at Wadi Al-Zawteen.
Distance: About 6 km on foot. The trail features a 1.5-hour stretch of hilly, high road before descending into valleys.
Day 2:
- Depart from Wadi Al-Zawteen and follow the Mount Abbas Road to reach:
- Mount Abbas Summit
- Wadi Ajbal
- Arrive at Pomegranate Brush, the second overnight camp.
Distance: Approximately 11 km on foot. Expect about 2 hours on hilly, high road with the remainder of the path winding through valleys.
Day 3:
- Leave the Pomegranate Brush and head towards:
- Wadi Tal’a Al-Kabira
- Kanyon Rock
- Blue Qalat (swimming area)
- Brush Amsala
- Conclude the day at Wadi Saqr, the third overnight camp.
Distance: About 8 km on foot. The trail features roughly 1 hour of steep elevation followed by easier walking through valleys.
Day 4:
- Depart from Wadi Saqr and visit:
- Dig a Hole (Swimming Hole)
- Wadi Itlah
- Abu Silah Area
- Return to St. Catherine City, concluding the trip.
Distance: Approximately 13 km on foot. The day includes a 1-hour climb, followed by a descent through Wadi Al-Tala’a.
